Commissioned by Wondercore Island to create a performance environment for the late night program (The Cave) of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival in 2012, I worked together with three interior designers to design and make three "stallectites". Collaborating with vj extroardinair Sean Healy, this large-scale environment was brought to life by projection that also became a wandering ground for audiences of the show. The structure created a floor to ceiling connection to simulate an intimate yet awe inspiring feeling of being in a cavern but was abstract enough to work with the three themes of the event -- past, present and future.
